At Walton Plastics Engineering, we primarily use thermoplastics developing an in depth understanding of these materials. We hold and refer to the technical data sheet and material chemical resistance charts to ensure materials are suitable. Stocking a range of materials has allowed us to study how materials react to fabrication techniques including cutting, bending, forming, gluing, welding, fastening, and shaping.
We supply all plastics available including knowledge and advise.
Types of engineering plastics:
- Methyl Ethyl Acrylate
- uPVC
- PP and FRPP
- PE (HDPE and UHMWPE)
- PC
- ECTFE
All items prior to manufacturing are drafted in-house by our engineering team. Drafting includes converting sketches and ideas onto a CAD based drawing. This includes orthogonal (3rd angle projections) and isometric drawings. All drawings are collated for customer inspection and fabrication technique. Drawings can be made available to clients as a DXF file upon request for building elevations.
At Walton Plastics Engineering, we have a flat bed CNC router allowing us to draw and program any shape you can imagine! This is a service we offer all customers. Most our fabricated products already use the CNC router to match accuracies up to 1/100mm! The use of a CNC router also allows repeatability so that any product can be re-cut to be exact in the future. This negates the need for measurement and custom building every product proving tiresome in the modern day industry.
